It is known that Robert Schumann's original cello compositions-
 five Pieces in Folk Style, op.102, and the great Cello Concerto
 in a minor, op.129 - make truly virtuoso demands on the player.
 In order to present for study and domestic use easily playable,
 yet musically valuable music from the romantic period, ten pieces
 from his "Album for the Yong",op.68, and
 "Szenes from Childhood", op.15, were arranged for cello and piano.
 The selektions are limited to pieces which are especially suitable for
  this purpose because of clearly developed melodies and favorable keys.
  Since these pieces possess wide-ranging poplarity and are well-known
 to all pianists, it will not be difficult to find a good accompianist.
